Howdy! My name is Nicole Bernal. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am a Judson High School graduate and I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health Education. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the healthcare industry for ten years in Emergency Medical Services as a dispatcher and at University Hospital in the ER. I have been a teacher now for twenty-four years and fourteen of them at Randolph High School. I started out teaching Biology and Anatomy and I am currently teaching the CTE - Health Science courses. I wear many hats at Randolph; I am CTE Team Leader, the Swim Team Sponsor, HOSA Co-Sponsor, and Student Council Co-Sponsor. I enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities with students, it gives me an opportunity to see what they enjoy outside the classroom.
I am the oldest of three children, my sister lives in Pflugerville and my brother lives in Houston. They have made me an aunt to four nieces and one nephew. I have been married to my husband, Robert, for twenty-four years and we have a twenty-year-old son and a sixteen-year-old daughter. My son is a graduate of Randolph High School and is currently at Tarleton State University as a nursing and military science major. My daughter will be a junior at Randolph High School and is on the school's swim team. I am also a dog mom of two rescue mutts named Brock Lee and Duke.
I look forward to working with you and your student this year. Go Ro-Hawks!
